Area Info

Our Lodge is located on Chilliwack Lake Road, right by the Chilliwack river. If you drive further down on Chilliwack Lake Road you will find Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park which is suitable for boating, swimming, canoeing, fishing and hiking. At the end of the valley is the beautiful Chilliwack Lake, surrounded by snow capped high mountains. Amazing scenery. Within a few kilometers, you will find Cultus lake which is well known for its long beach, warm water, and water park. Excellent spot for families with small children. Also nearby is the mighty Fraser River, offering world class fishing for different types of salmon, and sturgeon. Hikers and mountain bikers will appreciate the Trans Canada Trail which runs close by. At the southern tip of Harrison Lake is the world famous Harrison Hot Springs which is within an hour drive from our lodge. A few more hot spots which are less than an hour drive: Dinotown in Bridal Falls, Manning Park Resort in Hope, and Minter Gardens in Chilliwack. Whistler, the world wide known ski paradise, and also home to the 2010 Olympic games is about 2-3 hours away from us just like Seattle and Washington in the USA.

Chilliwack is a popular destination for most tourists in the province as it offers wide range of activities all year round. Fishing, hiking, river rafting, swimming, waterskiing, wind surfing, mountain climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, golfing, paragliding, camping, birding are just the main items on the list. Chilliwack can be a great location for international visitors too, as it is only an hour drive (100 kilometers ) from the City of Vancouver, BC. Nature lovers will enjoy the wilderness around Chilliwack but still have the option to enjoy city life as Vancouver is within their reach.

Fishing

Chilliwack is a world famous fishing area in the Fraser Valley of the beautiful British Columbia. It offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities for Salmon, Sturgeon, Steelhead and Trout. The mighty Fraser River passing through Chilliwack supports all five species of Pacific Salmon – Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, Chum and Pink. Chilliwack River is also unique for salmon and trout fishing. The fishing season runs from April through November.
